LABC Warranty Technical Manual Version 10: Summary of main changes

Version 10 contains a number of changes to build part-specific Functional Requirements plus additional guidance on podium decks, blue roofs and more.

Changes to the general Functional Requirements for warranty acceptance include:

• Means of escape, passive and active systems are not covered under Version 10 of the Technical Manual unless specifically identified in a build part section’s Functional Requirements
• Requirements for meeting building regulations have been clarified in the introduction and limited to covering specific build part section Functional Requirements – where required
• Products of non-standard/modern methods of construction (MMC) must be supported with evidence of third-party product conformity certification before a warranty offer is provided
• Reclaimed materials may be used subject to prior approval from LABC Warranty

Hard copies of the manual are provided free of charge as part of annual registration with LABC Warranty and for all applicable new sites registered. If you are unsure which technical standards apply to your site, please speak to your surveyor.
